What is Reiki healing?

At its essence, Reiki is a form of alternative therapy that revolves around the concept of energy

healing. Originating in Japan, Reiki is often described as a holistic practice that aims to balance and harmonize the energy flow within the body. The word "Reiki" itself is a combination of two Japanese words: "rei," which means universal, and "ki," which means life force energy.

Practitioners believe that there is a universal life force energy that flows through all living things.

When this energy is disrupted or blocked, it can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances. Reiki seeks to address these imbalances by channeling and directing the universal life force energy through the hands of a practitioner.

During a typical Reiki session, the recipient remains fully clothed and lies down or sits comfortably. The practitioner places their hands lightly on or above specific areas of the body, allowing the energy to flow to where it is needed most. The process is gentle and non-invasive, often inducing a state of deep relaxation.

Reiki is not affiliated with any religious or belief system, making it accessible to individuals of diverse backgrounds. It's not a replacement for conventional medical treatments but is often used as a complementary practice to support overall well-being.

Reiki is us

ed in many hospital settings and in hospice work to support patients during surgery and end of life. Many individuals report positive experiences, such as reduced stress, relaxation, and a sense of emotional well-being after Reiki sessions. The practice continues to gain popularity as people explore various avenues for holistic healing and wellness.

So, whether you're a seasoned Zen master or a total newbie to the world of energy healing, Reiki might just be the good vibes you've been missing. Give it a go, embrace the good energy, and let the universe sprinkle a bit of cosmic magic on your journey to well-being. You deserve it.
