​SoCo Counseling is in-network with Aetna, CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, and Cigna; although behavioral health benefits can vary among plans and providers.

It is recommended that before the patient’s first appointment at SoCo Counseling, the health insurance company is contacted by the patient or responsible party to verify that SoCo Counseling is in-network or out-of-network with the patient's insurance and plan. The patient and/or responsible party is responsible for understanding the patient’s insurance benefits including the copays, deductibles, and co-insurance coverages available to the patient, by choosing to work with a mental health provider within the patient's health insurance company’s network. SoCo Counseling only bills/submits claims to primary insurance with which we are in-network.

Self Pay

Many health insurance plans offer Out-of-Network benefits.  Contact your insurance provider and ask about your deductible and Out-of-Network benefits today.

Other Services and Fees (this information serves as notice of additional fees that may be incurred based on the patient’s personal needs and are non-billable to insurance companies):

• No-show / Less than 48-hour notice cancellation / Late to Appointment Fee - $85

• Court (Subpoena) Fee - $350/hour, including travel time

• Paperwork Requests Outside of Scheduled Visits - $30/each side of the page

• Medical Records Fee: $.83/page plus preparation fee of $200/hour

• School letters or accommodation letters $160
